Vibroacoustic therapy relax and recharge

Vibroacoustic Therapy massages the body with sound and vibrations to reduce stress, assist with pain, relaxation and more.

Promotes the healing by activating the entire body down to the cellular level providing a wide range of benefits from psychological, neuromuscular conditions, anxiety, trauma, and anger.  It significantly reduces the effects of stress and tension on the body.

Indigo Mountain has the only Vibroacoustic Massage Bed in The Gila Valley of Arizona. You can schedule sessions for just 1 appointment, or get a discount for using the bed frequently. You can schedule your appointments ahead of time, or take your chance on the bed being open and come on in. You’ll be glad you did.

How does it work? You lie on a specially designed bed that transmits sound vibrations. Frequencies surround and envelope you, as you relax in a zero gravity position on a smart lounge.  You “feel” the sound as it radiates throughout the lounge and your entire body. Sessions are either 20 minutes or 30 minutes. The body receives a deep cellular internal massage. In that way, organs deep in the body which we cannot reach by traditional methods – nerves, glands, heart, lungs, deep-lying blood vessels, myofascial and brain tissue, are stimulated and massaged through sound vibrations.

Some comments of users:

  • “That was the most spiritual experience I have ever had.” [a person dealing with addiction withdrawals]
  • “This thing is worth its weight in gold and helps enormously with my stress.” [local user with a monthly-use pass]
  • “I feel like I went flying through the clouds and I am so relaxed. I was certain the bed flew around the room.” [local user after the first time]
  • “I just got the most amazing nap of my life!” [local user after a very short night sleep]
  • “It is both relaxing and energizing at the same time.”
  • “The first time I slept through the night since the war.” [Client from out of town dealing with PTSD, they also did a LifeLine session with Kally]
  • “The most relaxing experience ever.”

Vibroacoustic therapy has been around for over 40 years and can be used with any other therapy. Many people cannot tolerate a traditional physical touching massage session, but can use the vibroacoustic massage bed.

It is a safe, drug-free, non-invasive way to improve quality of life. It helps you to relax to allow the healing to start. Use of the vibroacoustic bed does not diagnose, cure or treat disease; it provides deep cellular stimulation to skin, muscle, joints, and nerves. Researchers have observed decreased pain and increased mobility.

An Estonian physician, Professor Saima Tamm, has said that VAT is “an adaptogenous therapy which has an effect to adapt itself to the needs of the patient. The body listens for signals which are needed in order to obtain full harmony, and start processes in the body which eventually will satisfy the signaled needs.”

What is Sound Therapy and How Does the Vibroacoustic Massage Bed Work?

Every organ, bone, and virtually every “cell” in the human body vibrates at its own resonant frequency. Together, they make up a composite frequency not unlike that of a symphony orchestra. When an organ in the body is out of tune, it can affect the health of the entire body.

Since the body always seeks the most efficient vibration, it takes far less energy to vibrate at the correct frequency than the incorrect one. After the utilization of sound therapy, most people report a feeling of total relaxation and improvement of overall function, balance and feeling of lightness.

Vibroacoustic Therapy combines the physical vibrations of relaxing music with the vibrations of pulsed low frequency sine tones. Frequencies surround and envelope you as you relax in a zero gravity position on a SMART Lounge. The lounge is equipped with four to six specially designed high power low frequency transducers. You to “feel” the sound as it radiates throughout the lounge and your entire body.

Acoustically speaking, the body is but a skin sack filled of water. If we imagine such a sack being placed on a series of loud-speakers and send bass sound through these speakers, we realize that the sound vibrations will be felt at any point of the surface of the sack. This means that all water molecules inside the sack have been put into motion. If we then imagine a human being in place of the skin sack, the sound will move through the body as if it was water and we can feel the vibrations on the body surface. Thus, all cells in the body have been vibrated by the sound waves, and the body has received a deep cellular “internal massage.”

In that way, organs deep in the body which we cannot reach by traditional methods – nerves, glands, heart, lungs, deep-lying blood vessels, myofascial and brain tissue are stimulated and massaged through sound vibrations.

How Does The Vibroacoustic Bed Affect the Brain?

Brain entrainment or “brainwave synchronization” is any practice that aims to cause brainwave frequency to fall into step with a periodic stimulus having a frequency corresponding to the intended brain-state (e.g., to induce sleep).

Resonant entertainment of oscillating systems is a well-understood principle within the physical sciences. If a tuning fork designed to produce a frequency of 440 Hz is struck (causing it to oscillate) and then brought into the vicinity of another 440 Hz tuning fork, the second tuning fork will begin to oscillate. The first tuning fork is said to have entrained the second or caused it to resonate. The physics of entertainment apply to biosystems as well.

Brain waves change frequencies based on neural activity within the brain. Because neural activity is electrochemical, brain function can be modified by altering the brain’s electromagnetic environment through induction, or through resonant entrainment techniques.

Is It Safe?

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the FDA considers vibroacoustic equipment as a class one medical device. Class one devices are low-impact medical instruments that provide patient care. The FDA also recognizes that vibroacoustic devices aid in relaxation, pain relief and in increasing blood circulation.

Help your body reduce the results of stress, tension, anxiety, and certain health problems.

Riley enjoying the VAT

The first time Mark used the bed, “I felt like the bed was moving like a magic carpet ride.  I fell asleep very relaxed and when it was over, I woke up energized and wide awake – very refreshed.”
